Sorry about the photography, but they weren't an easy subject.... wouldn't sit still for a second and though their eyes are all open now they would not look at the camera. We are all doing well, and as you can imagine the pups are keeping Bella pretty busy. We gave her a lovely shower this morning and she smells a whole lot sweeter now.

We are into a good routine now, we feed Bella at 6am and 10, 2 and 6pm. I encourage her to come out of the pen as much as I can during the day, as the pups are fairly demanding from about 8pm through the night. If Bella can't hear the pups she will sleep and recuperate and if they can't smell her nearby they will sleep pretty soundly too. The noise they make when they can smell her is incredible - but fun too!

One more photo to show you all today - Bella (and sister Maya) in the bluebell woods. Enjoy!

If you enjoy the blog, or have any questions, please leave a comment. It would be nice to know who is following our progress.

  1. Hi the pups look adorable! I have Archie from Hattie's 2010 litter. How is Bella with Maya around the pups?
    Love checking into your blog!!

  2. Hiya, lovely to hear from you, and uncle Archie! Bella has never minded Maya being nearby but until now Maya has appeared to be frightened of the pups and runs away if we hold one towards her. She is only just showing some interest. It's much easier now that Bella goes out for her regular walks so Maya has her running mate back. Keep in touch!

You did well to get the pictures as they don't stay still for long even when they are sleeping.
Looking forward to seeing them all grow!
